The challenge

Recruit new drivers and re-engage the community post-Covid. Move beyond the economic argument to show that carpooling offers human connection, social bonds and an environmental gesture.

The approach

  • Produce a series of 4 TV films in 2 days of shooting in a post-Covid context.
  • Reduce production time to 2 months from brief to broadcast delivery.
  • Identify a talent (curation work) and a partner production house capable of delivering within tight timelines and a defined budget envelope.
  • Address legal issues upfront to ensure compliance with ARPP road safety regulations.

The results

BlaBlaCar usage intent score above the norm (2.85 and 2.77 vs. norm at 2.53). A highly noted return of the brand to TV, very well received by the general public.
